The College: Horry Georgetown Technical College is a two-year, public coeducational college approved
by several accreditation agencies to offer associate degrees, diplomas, and certificate
programs. Non-credit and corporate training programs are offered through the continuing
education division of the College.
Location: Founded in 1966, the College has three locations in the northeastern region of South Carolina: Georgetown, Conway, and the Grand Strand (Myrtle Beach).
Enrollment: Approximately 10,422 students annually enroll in HGTC's regular curriculum programs, while approximately 3,177 people participate in Workforce Development courses.
Faculty: HGTC has approximately 143 full-time and over 209 part-time faculty members. The part-time faculty members consist primarily of HGTC staff members, business and civic leaders, and prominent professionals within the region.
